My only regret on my Electric Vehicle conversion project is that I did not find Hawkeye Innovations sooner. I purchased from numerous vendors (all the big names in the conversion parts world) and other than taking my money they were of little to no help when asking for direction or any type of support. Luckily for me I stumbled across Hawkeye Innovations and their incredible SCM (System Control Module) and display product. The product itself is first class, the build quality is top notch, it makes wiring all the other conversion components so much simpler and the documentation is incredible. Every step of the process is extremely well explained and has accompanying photos to make it even clearer to understand. The SCM had numerous options I could add to the purchase that helped to customize the installation to my specific setup and needs. Hawkeye Innovations also provided a conversion tutorial of sorts online that answered many of the questions and explained how to best install the majority of name brand components used in an Electric vehicle conversion. The great SCM product, online tutorial and incredible supporting documentation did not even turn out to be the best part of my experience, The owner of Hawkeye Innovations, Adam has turned out to be the greatest help with my conversion, he has gone way beyond in helping me solve many of my problems with components I did not purchase from them. He has helped and educated me in every step of the conversion and I can say for sure without his help this project would have been a complete failure and probably never completed. I regret I did not purchase all my components from Hawkeye Innovations in the first place but I am planning additional conversions and will purchase every component I can from Adam and I urge everyone that asks me about converting a vehicle to find Adam first before giving money to companies that don't care about the customer like Adam does. It's important to support companies like Adam’s because not only does he offer great products that simplify EV conversions, as important as great products are more importantly he supports us DIY conversion guys with after sales support unlike many of the other EV conversion parts sales companies.

TO ALL that read this, know right off the bat, there is no easy EV Conversion - none. That being said and maybe the driving force of my review, PICK YOUR KEY VENDOR / SUPPLIER CAREFULLY - because they are your best friend when you're elbow deep in wires and configuration and crap, followed by more crap.

I asked around and got good recommendations about Adam and Hawkeye when I was just starting - ALL proved to be true. Every step of the way, if I got so stuck AND after doing my own research through forums and Vendor FAQs and the like, if I had to ask Adam he would send me the most specific replies or work with the vendor that made the part to get an answer.

Most of the vendors don't really want to talk to the end customer - that's why it's so important to pick your key supplier carefully. I can't say this with any more emphasis - my project would NEVER have gotten to where I am right now without the help and recommendation from Adam and Hawkeye. Everything I've bought from him has been exactly what I needed, nothing wasted. 100% recommend Hawkeye for your EV build.

PS - he also makes one of the most time saving devices for almost any project - the Low Voltage Junction Box - the SCM. This will save you hundreds of hours of wiring - that's in his quote on his site and I can sit here today and tell you that it's no idle boast - the time saved is huge!
